Our Core Values
Thank you for choosing to visit our website to find out a little more about our school. We are a happy and friendly village school situated at the heart of the local community. Our school is a nurturing and supportive place with high standards expected of the children within a caring, Christian ethos.

Our School is a member of Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust. LAAT is a Multi Academy Trust which was set up by the Diocese of Lincoln in 2013 to build a mutually supportive family of academies in Greater Lincolnshire who support each other in providing the very best outcomes for their pupils.

At Morton CE Primary School, we believe that our school is the place where our children will grow and flourish with nurture and encouragement. We have the passion to enable every child to achieve anything in their life journey. As part of the Christian family, we follow Jesus’ examples and teachings; as we respect, believe, enjoy and achieve as a collective school family.

“Pupils at this school thrive.” The school has high aspirations for all pupils to do their very best. Staff understand what pupils need to succeed, both academically and pastorally.
“Staff create a climate for learning that enables all pupils to feel safe and take risks.” One pupil, who shares the views of many, explained, “Teachers get our activities just right. We get to think hard, but not too hard.”
The Christian vision ensures that the mental health and wellbeing of pupils is a priority. …. Leaders help families to work with external agencies, making sure pupils benefit from a curriculum that is ambitious for them. The impact is relationships are restored by living out the Christian values of forgiveness and love.
“Lessons are tailored to meet the needs of all pupils, and activities stimulate pupils’ curiosity. As a result, pupils achieve exceptionally well.”
Children in the early years have an exceptional start to their school life. Routines and expectations are quickly established.
The curriculum encourages pupils to flourish in their learning and to use knowledge wisely. This reflects the school’s vision of achieving anything in life’s journey.

Fox Class Christmas Carol Service What a truly beautiful service today! Our amazing Fox Class children led an inspiring and heartfelt celebration, sharing an engaging retelling of the Nativity through Bible readings, poems, and prose. Their confidence and creativity shone through every moment, and it was wonderful to see them bring the story to life in such a meaningful way. Thank you to everyone who joined us and supported the childrenit was a special way to celebrate Christmas together.

Christingle Service at St John the Baptist Church This Sunday, we shared a wonderful time together with our friends at St John the Baptist Church. Each of the children at the service decorated a bauble with words that truly reflect the seasonlove, peace, joy, and hopeand placed them on the Christmas tree. The church fell silent as the Christingle candles were lit, creating a moment of reflection and wonder, followed by the heartfelt singing of Away in a Manger. Our choir and readers were absolutely amazing! We're delighted to share that we also raised funds for The Children's Society, supporting their vital work for young people. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this service so special.

Whole School Pantomime Trip! Today we had the most wonderful occasion as the whole school enjoyed a magical trip to Stamford Corn Exchange Theatre to see Rapunzel! It was an incredible opportunity for everyone to experience a live show filled with songs, dancing, laughter, and lots of fun. The excitement didn't stop there – we even had a special visit from Santa to make the day extra festive! A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this day so memorable. Especially our amazing Friends of the School who paid for all of the transport costs! What a fantastic way to celebrate the Christmas season together!

Our 'push' notifications on the MCAS app don't appear to be working. Message below was sent out yesterday with details of our Christingle Service. In case you missed it..... The service is a short, child centred celebration. There will be an opportunity to donate to for the Children's Society. Either bring the collection to the service or send it into school. The service begins at 3:00 on Sunday 14th December. We do hope to see you then! DONATIONS OF ORANGES To help us make our Christingles we would ask if you can send in a standard orange on Friday 12th December. Thank you

It is starting to look Christmassy in Morton thanks to the intrepid Squirrel class who went to Tallington Farm to collect the Christmas Tree. They had a wonderful time learning about how to plant and care for the tree. Thank you to the farm for your kind donation of the tree which is now up, dressed and lit in our hall. To add a bit more Christmas cheer - the star on our very own St John the Baptist Church is shining brightly over the village. #christmas2025 #FollowTheStar

A Poignant Remembrance Service Led by Badger Class This week, Badger Class led a deeply moving remembrance service at church, honouring those who served in past conflicts. As part of a special homework project, the children researched members of their own families who had been involved in wars across Europe and around the world. Their discoveries were brought to life through beautifully written reflections and confident, heartfelt speaking. The service was a powerful reminder of the personal stories behind the history, and the children's thoughtful contributions made it truly unforgettable. To conclude the service, children from across the school laid poppies as part of a temporary exhibitioneach one a symbol of remembrance and respect. We are incredibly proud of our pupils for the maturity, empathy and dedication they showed. Thank you to all who took part. Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust
